Robert J. McDonnell comes to Alliance Mediation Services with a broad background in telecommunications and issue resolution.
Robert has been a Professional Mediator and Senior Telecommunications Consultant since 2003 and brings to these roles over thirty years of experience in the telecommunication industry, the latter ten in regulatory policy development and issue resolution. He has chaired several cross-industry forums and facilitated numerous groups of major telecommunications carriers working to address issues and develop major telecommunications policy. He has led and facilitated groups of telecommunications carriers, assisting these carriers in resolving issues and developing telecommunications policies.
Robert is an Accredited Professional Mediator focusing on providing mediation services in New Jersey, where he received accreditation from the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. He is also accredited as a Mediation Practitioner by the Association of Conflict Resolution. Robert was trained in mediation and dispute resolution at Rutgers University, where he received a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Management. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Providing mediation and dispute resolution services in New Jersey for Alliance Mediation Services, Robert is approved by the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) for the Statewide Mediation Program for Civil, General Equity and Probate Cases and mediates civil cases for the AOC in several counties in Northern New Jersey. He volunteers his mediation services and serves as a pro bono volunteer for the Special Civil Part Court of Essex County and as a mediator for the municipal courts in Essex, Morris and Passaic Counties.
Robert mediates workplace and discrimination cases, participating on the panel of mediators for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in New Jersey.
He is a trained arbitrator, and arbitrates on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) panels.
